University of Pretoria Registration Dates 2026/2027

To ensure adequate time for application processing, and planning by the university and yourself, applications for early admission in 2026 should be as follows;

The University of Pretoria Registration Dates 2026/2027

The University of Pretoria (TUKS) has stated that they will be open and accepting online applications for the 2026/2027 academic year from;

Students can register online from 9 January 2026. You will only be able to register if you have paid and submitted your contract.

First-Year Students:

Online registration dates for first-year students are as follows;

• Pre-Orientation – 21 January 2026
• First-year Hybrid Orientation – 3 February 2026 to 7 February 2026
• Welcome Day – 1 February 2026
• Classes for quarter 1 and semester 1 start on – 10 February 2026

• Assisted Registration – Hillcrest Campus, 21 January 2026 to 7 February 2026

Current Students:

Current students are encouraged to register online at the UP Student Centre.

• Online Registration – 3 January 2026
• Assisted Registration – 21 January 2026 (Hillcrest Campus)
• Classes start – 10 February 2026

Postgraduate Students:

These are all the important dates for postgraduate students for the 2026/2027 academic session.

• Online registration for honour’s students – 3 January 2026
• Online registration for master’s and doctorate – From 19 December 2026
• Assisted registration for honour’s students – 21 January 2026 (Hillcrest Campus)
• Assisted registration for master’s and doctorate – From 3 January 2026

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

All international students are advised to follow the above date depending on the programme or course of study they are interested in.

Always quote your student number when making payments, such as your registration fee.

Protect your student card, as this will give you access to all the UP campuses.

If you want to avoid long queues, complete the registration process online before your classes start.
