The good news is that the late application window for CPUT is currently open. The late applications are open for various programmes in the 2026 session.
The CPUT late applications will only be open for programmes with available spaces, which includes; Higher Certificate, Diploma, Bachelors, B Ed, Advanced Diploma, Postgraduate Diploma, Honours, Masters and Doctoral studies.

How to Apply for CPUT Late Applications
Applications must be submitted online and no application fee is charged. Only certain non-degree programmes identified within the Faculty of Health & Wellness Science must be completed manually.
STEP 1: Check the Available Programs
- Visit the CPUT website: https://www.cput.ac.za/study/apply
- Click on “Study at CPUT” and then “Late Applications.”
- A list of programs accepting late applications will be displayed. Make sure your desired program is on the list.
STEP 2: Gather Your Documents
You’ll need to submit certified copies of the following documents (check the website for any specific program requirements):
- Academic transcripts
- Matric certificate
- Identity document (ID) or passport
- Any other requested documents
STEP 3: Submit your online application
- Go to the CPUT online application portal: https://www.cput.ac.za/study/apply/step-4-online-application
- Create an account or log in if you already have one.
- Select the “Late Application” option.
- Choose your program and complete the application form.
- Upload your supporting documents.
- Pay the application fee, (if any).
CPUT Late Application Closing Date
Applicant must note the various application deadlines below;
- overall the closing date for late applications is only been extended until 13 January 2026
- Returning CPUT student – Tuesday, 07 January 2026 until Friday, 10 January 2026.
- Full Research Master’s and Doctoral Studies remains open until 14 March 2026.
